| Inside of our site | Following are some important dates to keep in mind for the 2008 North Central Ohio Soap Box Derby race to be held in downtown Mansfield on North Main Street hill:
Sunday, April 20, 2008 - Organizational meeting, 7 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2008 - Organizational meeting, 7 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2008 - Last-minute race details meeting, following close of race inspections. Organization meetings are held at the home of Russ and Ruth Kinsey. All racers and their parents are welcome to attend and offer input about ways to improve our race or assist in the running of our race. Monday, May 12, 2008 - Deadline to order kits and parts in time for delivery on builder's day. Sunday, May 18, 2008 - Builder's day, 12-4 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2008 - Race registration deadline. Sunday, June 8, 2008- Trial run day (Urged for first-time racers, but open to all racers), 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2008 - Race inspections, 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2008 - Race inspections, 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2008 - Repairs for those not passing inspection, 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2008 - Track setup and pizza afterward, 6-7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2008 - RACE DAY. Sunday, June 22, 2008 - Race day rain date (subject to review by NCOSBD board of directors) July 1, 2008 - North Central Ohio Soap Box Derby banquet, 6:30 p.m. (Site to be announced) |
